As soon as David Richards & Co took over the Aston Martin brand that had stagnated under the stewardship of Ford, the rumours began to surface of a new supercar being launched. These rumours were confirmed to be true just a few short weeks a go when the British marque released the first teaser image of the One-77. For some people this teaser image wasn't enough, especially in the eyes of designer Jon Sibal who has created this new rendering of the model, you may also remember Jon for the superb rendering published here on WCF of the Mercedes McLaren SLR Roadster. Details about the model were left very much to the rumour mill, it is believed that the power will come from a hand-built 7.0 liter V12 engine which will be housed nicely inside a chassis made of aluminium and carbon fiber. A total of 77 examples of the model will be made of the creatively named (NOT!!) One-77, pricing will be upwards of £1million putting it at the same level as the Bugatti Veyron. This means we should see a performance matching this price, the 0-60mph time is expected to sit below 3.5 seconds with top speed probably going above 200mph.

Aston Martin one-77: Details & Images Surface A teaser image and first details were released a couple of months ago of a new Aston Martin supercar that will be called, one-77. As the name suggests, it will be produced in a limited production run of just 77 units with the first deliveries towards the end of next year. Further details and images have now been unearthed by Dutch site 925.nl which confirms the model will carry an astronomical price of £1,050,000 excluding taxes. The two-seater sports coupe will be available in either left or right hand drive. It will boast an aluminium body with carbon fibre extrusions that will keep the overall weight of the car down to around 1500kg. The naturally aspirated front-mid mounted engine will possess a displacement of 7.0 liters backed up with a total of 12 cylinders, power outage is reported to be in the region of 710hp and 750Nm(553lb-ft) of torque. It is mated to a 6 speed automated manual transmission that features an Auto Shift Manual/Select Shift Manual (ASM/SSM) electro-hydraulic control system. Aston Martin will enhance the overall performance of the one-77 with a carbon ceramic braking system and a height adjustable suspension that will work in tandem with the dynamic stability control system.
Aston Martin Give Press a Sneak Peak of one-77 Supercar at Paris Motor Show Earlier this week further details of Aston Martin's £1million one-77 supercar surfaced after a sales document found its way to the internet, something that has done nothing but drum up additional excitement towards the model. So much so that we can't wait for it to hit the motorshow circus. Obviously today's Paris Motor Show has come way too soon for us to be able to see the model in its full glory, but the British marque had nothing else going on, so they brought along a veil covered prototype to give the media an early peak at its styling. It also makes up for the disappointment of Aston Martin's failure to bring along a production ready version of the Rapide four-door coupe.
New Aston Martin One-77 Dutch automotive site 925.nl has unearthed new images of the upcoming Aston Martin One-77. The One-77 was announced just a couple of months ago but has already sold out. Its deep pocket-buyers, who've had to leave a hefty £200,000 deposit to place their orders, will have to wait until late 2009 for their cars to begin coming in. Proving once again how daring supercars can be, the One-77 was announced amid one of the worst slumps in the automotive business in decades with the eye-popping price tag of £1,050,000 or roughly 1.4 million euros. The car's details are few but the One-77 is expected to come with a 7.3-liter V12 engine churning out over 700hp. It will also have aluminium body panels and a carbon fibre chassis. Aston Martin has limited production to just 77 models, in keeping with true supercar tradition and settling on the obvious number 77, the same one that designates the car.
