2009 calendars are upon us and Porsche Design has released four calendars and date planner that reflect both past and future. One of the official Porsche Calendars for 2009 follows the theme "Engineering and Efficiency" with twelve larger-than-life close-up views of high tech components such as their PDK double-clutch gearbox, Variocam Plus or direct fuel injection. The calendar includes a collector's coin and costs 35 Euro including VAT. Next is a historical calendar titled "Mathematics 2009 - Game of Numbers" which honors the Type 64 was created in 1938. Considered the first car to wear the Porsche name, the vehicle has been recently restored allowing it to photographed for the first time in many decades. The calendar comes with its own slipcase and is also priced at 35 Euro inclusive of VAT. For the first time, Porsche is making available the largest historical calendar in DIN A1 format size that will undoubtedly tempt purchasers to frame the top quality matte natural paper prints. Limited to only 2,009 items each calendar the sequentially numbered. The price is 99 Euro including VAT. The last calendar is the "Style Calendar" for 2009, which is entitled "affinities - Verwandtschaften". Once again, the Porsche Type 64 serves as inspiration as Porsche designers have created twelve sketches and interpretations inspired by the body shell. The drawings highlight the affinities between the expression of form in the Type 64 and in the current Porsche automobiles. Included with the calendar is a CD-ROM with a striking screensaver. The calendar costs 57 Euro including VAT. The date planner features photographs illustrating the rally history of Porsche from 1950 to 2008. Spirally bound in DIN A5 size, it costs 38 Euro inclusive of VAT. The four calendars and the date planner can be ordered at www.porsche.com/shop and will also be available from Porsche centers.
