The Fiat 500 Abarth Essesse has broken loose ahead of schedule after these first images surfaced on the net and we have what appears to be the Mini Cooper S' most potent threat to date. No official details have been released but we believe a 1.4-liter turbocharged engine is hiding beneath its posterior, probably possessing in the region of 170 ponies, just above the 160hp Fiat 500 Abarth Opening Edition. The body kit just screams “Hot Hatch” to you, in comparison to the regular 500 Abarth model we can see the Essesse version gets a new set roughly 17 inch alloy wheels, a nifty rear spoiler and a remodelled rear end sporting a newly installed rear diffuser and a twin exhaust set-up. You may also notice that these pictures also include an even beefier looking version sporting a rear wing, additional air intakes on the hood, a huge front spoiler, sports bucket seats and the huge air intake manifold is missing its set of fog lights. We are unsure whether this model is wearing an optional appearance package or we could well have a motorsports version on our hands. Either way we are likely to find out full details in the coming days.
