After the quiet introduction of the facelifted 2010 Mercedes-Benz S-Class last week, which didn’t even make a New York International Auto Show appearance, images have surfaced on the Web of the high-performance AMG-badged variants, S63 and S65. Though no confirmed details have emerged from Stuttgart, expect a modest increase in power for both the S63’s naturally-aspirated 6.3-liter V8 and the S65’s 6.0-liter turbocharged V12. The images reveal a number of interior and exterior updates that also make an appearance in the standard 2010 S-Class, including LED lamps up front and out back, as well as a new steering wheel. The appearance of carbon fiber trim is a new feature on these photos, which are of a German-specification S63 and S65. We aren’t sure if the racy trim will make it to North American models, where burled or piano-style wood are the current options. Expect more details to be forthcoming from the German automaker before the revised S63 and S65 go on sale this fall.
